The Jaime Duque Park Foundation being a finalist in the 2025 CAR Environmental Awards is a source of pride and motivation to continue working for our planet. In this edition, we were selected from among 340 applications and we reached the final stage in the “Community Management” category, a recognition that highlights our commitment to protecting biodiversity and building a sustainable future. This achievement underscores the importance of engaging communities and our visitors in conservation and sustainability projects through purpose-driven tourism initiatives that inspire more people to care for our common home.
The inclusion of communities is a key pillar for driving the conservation of habitats and species— a commitment that the Jaime Duque Park Foundation has embraced since its beginnings and continuously strengthens through its sustainability and conservation projects and programs.
These awards, granted by the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Cundinamarca (CAR) within the framework of the 2025 International Summit on Sustainability and Environmental Innovation, highlight projects that transform the territory through environmental education, community innovation, circular economy, and the sustainable management of natural resources.
For the Jaime Duque Park Foundation, this recognition reaffirms our commitment to conserving the ecosystems and species that inhabit our country. We will continue working tirelessly to protect our common home: planet Earth.
We deeply thank the CAR, the judges, and the community for recognizing our work and it inspires us to continue developing projects that positively impact communities and strengthen people's connection with nature.
